Still holding patiently for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow  ;)

What's your analysis?  Why are you optimistic?

Its not my analysis, I trust what I have seen David present to indicate that indeed the stock has great potential as a long term hold.  I also trust David's track record (not just the official one but the track record of stocks he held with weak hands and let go of).

Do I think its a sure thing with CIMT? No.  Do I think its worth the risk of holding through a downturn?  In this case, yes.  Have I always done that?  No, this would be the first stock that I try that with, assuming a major downturn comes.  I saw glowing analysis on CPNE but personally didnt see the model as sustainable so I traded it short term a few times, but I see CIMT as having real potential.

David's ANGN chart in particular has convinced me to try this long term hold strategy.  I simply cant be staring at the screen all day to find that one stock you got out of and is running again now 86.235 trading days later.  David couldnt either clearly.   Maybe others have that kind of bandwidth and focus, but as I only trade stocks part time, I do not. And even if I did, I know my psychology, I probably wouldnt pull the trigger after its big move that alerted me again to its existence anyway.

I applauded David again today for his reply, and also for the fact that I have had more peace of mind recently holding CIMT with strong hands than I did flipping stocks daily.  I have had more time for myself and my business, and honestly less stress which is hard for me personally to put a value on.

And if a year from now the stock has gained me a bag or more and I can sell with a long term capital gain, how much sweeter that will be.  Time will tell...

First of all, I want to say applaud to tokyopua, buddjas1, and David!  Tokyopua, you took the words right out of my mouth! I couldn't have said it any better!  Buddjas1, I understand your point and want to say that I also have been burned many times holding thru earnings, but the fact is for me I held stocks that went down after earnings and then went straight up without me missing a huge run.  I realize we have had some bad expereinces with stocks because of earnings, but you can't compare all stocks and there are stocks that do surprise and take off because of earnings and those are the ones I always miss out on.  I'm not saying CIMT will surprise everyone, what I am saying is that the risk/reward ratio is more favorably with CIMT than with other stocks since CIMT is in the early stages of a turnaround and is just now showing the rewards.  Unlike TZOO, they have had many quarters in a row of record earnings and profits, but it had to come to a stall sooner or later.  As for CIMT, they are now just showing the improvements and are working hard to show the street that they deserve a higher market cap value.  Excuse me if I don't make much sense, tonight is pizza night with my family and i've had a few beers so my writing is a bit off track.  Bottom line, CIMT went through a complete turnaround at a high cost, it is in their best interests to show the street that this turnaround is working and now the company is on track to higher profit margins and I believe 2006 was a great example of their improvements and 2007 will be even better!  That's all I have to say! I believe this to be the best stock on the portofolio!

The way I see this quarter coming up. It will be a toss up 50/50 gamble.

I liquidated this morning for a small gain.  Good luck.

I liquidated this morning for a small gain.  Good luck.

I liquidated my CIMT holding yesterday as well (30% gain). I just see a consistant track record for earnings and revenues to hold. Unless their earnings are over .07 next report (enough the justlfy a 150% gain simce their last repor). I think we will see a pullback, Depending on the numbers and the comments, I might buy back after their next earnings report. I just added more SILC this morning. We are close to the 50-day average, I think we are really close to end of this correction. I wish SILC would go in more detail about why the needed to do the private placement (i.e. increase production, acquistions). The current price is about a dollar under the private placement price with about 12 straight quarters of revenue and income growth, SILC could be a huge winner. Once they announce their next design win, it will pop at least a couple of points. I wish everyone good luck.

Good luck eggman11 & buddjas1, I'm not selling my CIMT, who knows we could even get a nice bounce today.  Anyways, I think it was a mistake to trade off selling CIMT to buy SILC, I would at least have waited to see how far SILC would fall and since they just did that private placement, it can fall further IMO.  I see CIMT being the same as SILC was in the beginning, to me there's more room to for CIMT to grow than SILC in terms of share price.

David Randolph

For the people selling, I hope you have in mind that if CIMT posts another 7 cent gain per share in Q1 2007 you're going to see the stock immediately above $5. Looking beyond this quarter, I believe you're not paying enough attention to the fact that this management didn't dilute shareholder's value in very difficult times, so with $20 - $30 M revenues I don't see how it can be worth less than $20 - $30 M, or something like $2.5 - $3.5, even if it loses money going forward (and there's indication of profitability).

The risk is about 20%, the reward is 70 or 80% short term, several bags of profits over the longer term, so I don't understand your decision. But I respect it. Good luck on your other buys, especially SILC :)

I have different point of view ...

this stock could explode very soon ... people are affraid but patient needed with such stocks ..

I hope everyone wins

Looks like we have a nice bounce!  I have a question, Does CIMT announce the earnings date in advance or do they just issue the earnings without a pre-announcement?  I can't find anything in the past where they had a pre-earnings announcment date.  I did notice that most of the earnings report in the past were issued on Mondays around 5 am ET.

I've been studying CIMT for some time and finally bought today, just not so much that I might have weak hands. I think the reward vs risk ratio is VERY compelling. I'm looking forward to adding considerable more after the ER. I will likely even add more before the report, even though I feel it is still somewhat speculative, I am greatly optimistic here!

Manufacturing is very much alive and well, especially overseas. HDNG - Hardinge, a manufacturer of computer controlled machinery just had another blowout Q.

HURC will report soon and will likely surprise to the upside also.

Those selling now, must have bought too much to feel comfortable with? Instead of selling all, why not just bring it down to a more reasonable comfort level?

This just might be one of David's greatest finds.

Good Call on SILC!!!

May not mean much, but here is what one very small U.S. company has to say about Cimatron. Note that they were remarking about Cimatron E version 6. I think they released version 7 last year and version 8 just in March this year, probably with significant improvements. This company also uses Hurco CNC machines.

Cool article.  I wonder if they can also use this for designing MEMS (Micro Electronic Mechanical Systems) as that is a huge market growing something like 20% per year.
